Here are some suggestions for creating a pleasant scent in your office without using any artificial air fresheners.

… Exciting things will happen, you hold the key.

Get Rid of Old Built-up Smells

You might want to try leaving a bowl of vinegar out in your office all night in addition to cleaning your workspace. The vinegar absorbs all other smells. Then once you get rid of the bowl of vinegar, the smell of the vinegar disappears really rapidly.

I’ve used this one a lot in the aftermath of failed culinary experiments. Request that the workplace carpet be cleaned (or spend the weekend trying to do it yourself using a do-it-yourself method). After that, make an effort to open the window or windows to let some fresh air in at least once a day.

Drink Mint Tea

Especially before an in-office meeting, pour yourself a large cup of mint tea. It’s not even necessary to drink it; simply keeping it on your desk will help cover up other odors without becoming overpowering.

If you truly don’t drink tea, you might want to use coffee grounds, maybe arranged in a bowl in a less noticeable spot in your workspace. I believe this has the best chance of working in the office out of all the “natural air fresheners.”

Try an Air Purifier

Odor-removing candles, reasonably priced air purifiers, and even odor-removing charcoal bags are examples of how far air purifier technology has come.

You can even try getting a natural air purifier by picking out the right plant for your office. Some great options are Spider Plants, English Ivy, and Aloe Vera.
